1.12. Remove all five lug bolts securing the left and

right tire assemblies to the wheel hubs using a
19mm socket. See Figure 1.12.

1.13. Remove the left and right tire assemblies.

GEAR LUBE:

2.1.

Place suitable drain containers below the right
and left final drive housings. See Figure 2.1.

NOTE: The front wheel drive axle holds approxi-
mately 81 Oz. of Cub Cadet gear lube. Cub
Cadet gear lube can be purchased by the quart
using part number 737-3065.

2.2.

Remove the lower drain plug bolts and seal
washers from the left and right final drive hous-
ings using a 17mm socket.

2.3.

Remove the upper vent plugs and seal washers
from the left and right final drive housings using
a 19mm socket.

NOTE: The gear lube will drain quicker with
these removed.

2.4.

Place a suitable drain container under the center
of the axle assembly. See Figure 2.4.

2.5.

Remove the drain plug bolt and seal washer
from the front of the axle housing assembly
using a 17mm socket.

2.6.

Remove the gear lube oil level gauge.
See Figure 2.6.

2.7.

Allow all of the gear lube to drain from the axle
assembly.
