2.8.

Inspect all of the seal washers for wear or dam-
age. See Figure 2.8.

NOTE: It is recommend to replace all seal wash-
ers.

2.9.

Install all of the drain plugs, vent plugs and seal
washers using a 17mm socket and a 19mm
socket.

3.

LEFT TIE ROD END:

3.1.

Remove the cotter pin securing the left castle
nut in position using a needle nose pliers.
See Figure 3.1.

3.2.

Remove the castle nut using a 19mm wrench.

3.3.

Remove the left tie rod end from the left steering
arm using a pickle fork. See Figure 3.3.

NOTE: The left portion of the tie rod is free.

4.

STEERING CYLINDER:

4.1.

Remove the lower hex nylon lock nut securing
the steering cylinder to the cylinder mounting
stud using a 24mm wrench. See Figure 3.3.

4.2.

Secure the steering cylinder in position.

4.3.

Remove all four hex cap screws securing the
steering cylinder mounting bracket to the right
axle housing using an 18mm socket.
See Figure 4.3.
