TRANSMISSION HOUSING COVER:

2.1.

Remove all four hex cap screws securing the
rear portion of the transmission housing cover to
the transmission housing using a 9/16” socket
and wrench. See Figure 2.1.

NOTE: All four rear hex cap screws are shorter
than the remain hex cap screws securing the
transmission housing cover to the transmission
housing. Loctite™ the threads and torque them
between 220 and 280 In. Lbs. during assembly.

2.2.

Remove the remaining hex cap screws securing
the transmission housing cover to the transmis-
sion housing using a 9/16” socket. See Figure
2.2.

NOTE: The hex cap screw that is front and cen-
ter is longer than the rest. Loctite™ the threads
and torque them between 220 and 280 In. Lbs.
during assembly.

2.3.

Thread one long hex cap screw back into the
transmission housing until the head is 1/4” away
from the transmission housing cover, just in front
of the rock shaft assembly. See Figure 2.3.

2.4.

Protect the right bottom side of the rock shaft.

2.5.

Position a pry bar under the material protecting
the rock shaft, and across the top of the long
screw.
