11.9. Inspect all the components for wear or damage.
See Figure 11.9.
11.10. Inspect the 2000 PTO pinion: 34T gear’s sleeve
bearing for wear or damage. See Figure 11.10.
NOTE: If the sleeve bearing is in need of
replacement, a press will be needed to install a
new one.
12. AUXILIARY HYDRAULIC PUMP:
12.1. Rotate the lock tab, securing the auxiliary hex
nut in position, to an accessible location. See
Figure 12.1.
12.2. Bend the lock tab away from the hex nut using a
a chisel punch and hammer.
12.3. Place a section of recoil rope between the 32T
auxiliary drive gear and the 28T auxiliary drive
idler. See Figure 12.3.
NOTE: This will lock the gears in position.
12.4. Remove the hex nut securing the 32T auxiliary
drive gear to the auxiliary hydraulic pump’s input
shaft using a 9/16” wrench.
NOTE: Loctite™ the threads during assembly.
