Fabric,
thread and
needle table
The needle and thread you choose will
depend upon the cloth being sewn.
The table is a practical guide to needle
and thread selection. Always refer to it
before beginning a sewing project. Be
sure to use the same size and type of
thread in both needle and bobbin.
The cloth can be of any fiber: cotton,
linen, silk, wool, synthetic, rayon or
blends. They are listed according to
weight.
Note: Be sure to use original SINGER
needles. Do not use needles
made by other manufacturers.
We do not recommend the use
of waterproof or metallized
fabrics. Metalic thread may
affect sewing quality and cause
parts to wear early in your
sewing machine.
