2. Lower completely the buttonhole engaging lever and

push it slightly backwards (illustration 3).

3. Place the center of the foot marking against the front

edge of the mark on the fabric (see illustration 4).

Lower the presser foot and start seam.

4. The buttonhole will be made sequentialy as shown in

illustration 4.

5. When your machine finishes the buttonhole, lift the

presser foot and remove fabric from machine.

6. Carefully cut buttonhole opening with a seam ripper

or small sharp scissors.

Note: To continue making buttonholes, you must push

the buttonhole engaging lever backwards again

(illustration 3).

If a problem occurs when making steps 1 or 2 of

the buttonhole, disengage the buttonholer lever,

take about 10 stitches and remove fabric out of

machine. Then, repeat the procedure for a new

buttonhole. If a problem occurs when making

steps 3 or 4, remove fabric out of machine and

repeat the procedure for a new buttonhole.
