Lace Application

RECOMMENDED INITIALSETTINGS
Pattern: Zigzag

Needle Position: Left

Stitch Width: 1.5 to 2 mm

Stitch Length: 1 - 2

Foot: General Purpose

Align the right side of your fabric with the right side of

your lace. Zigzag along the edge of the 2 layers of fabric,

so that the needle swings off the right edge of the fabric

when sewing. This is referred to a roll and whip stitch.

Once your seam is completed, press the seam open.

Piping (Cording)

RECOMMENDED INITIALSETTINGS

Pattern:Straight Stitching

Needle Position: Center

Stitch width: For Straight Sewing
Stitch Length: 2 - 3

Foot: Zipper

Using zipper foot, cover cord with a bias strip of fabric.

Pin or tack piped edge between 2 layers of fabric so that

raw edges are aligned. Attach zipper foot to shank so

that needle passes through the opening on right side of

foot. Sew piping along edge of cording.
