X-Y Mode


X-Y mode is only available when the main timebase is “X-Y” mode. In this mode, two
pairs of cursors will appear. You can adjust the cursor to measure X and Y values of
the crossing points of the two pairs of cursors.

Press MENU at the horizontal control are (HORIZONTAL) at the front panel and then
press Time Base to select “X-Y”. Press CursorMode  “X-Y” to enable the X-Y
mode cursor measurement function. The measurement results are displayed at the
upper left corner of the screen in the following mode.

 CurAX: the X value at cursor A.
 CurBX: the X value at cursor B.
 CurAY: the Y value at cursor A.
 CurBY: the Y value at cursor B.

You can adjust the positions of the cursors by the following instructions.

Press Type to select “X”. Then, press CursorA and CursorB and use

to adjust

the horizontal positions of cursor A and cursor B respectively. Press CursorAB and
use

to adjust the horizontal position of cursor A and B at the same time. During

the adjustment, the measurement result will change accordingly. The adjustable
range is limited within the screen.

Press Type to select “Y”. Then, press CursorA and CursorB and use

to adjust

the vertical positions of cursor A and cursor B respectively. Press CursorAB and use

to adjust the vertical positions of cursor A and cursor B at the same time. During

the adjustment, the measurement result will change accordingly. The adjustable
range is limited within the screen.
