CNC text editor

The text editor is located in the upper right-hand pane of the CNC Program List window.

You can use it to enter and modify a CNC program in accordance with DIN 66025 (see

supported and extended elements of the CNC language, DIN 66025, for more information).

The program will be displayed accordingly in the graphic editor and can be modified there.

In this case the text part will be updated automatically.
For processing, the commands of the menus CNC program and Extras are provided; for this,

see:

CNC graphic editor

( 78)

.

(For this see also the

SoftMotion programming examples

( 267)

.)

Press <F2> to open the Input Assistant, where you can select global variables to be inserted

into the CNC program. The variables will be displayed in the graphic editor with their initial

values (if available).

If you choose to have the »PLC Designer« create a ready-to-use OutQueue structure during

compilation (option b)), the reference to the global variable will of course be replaced with

the initial value during compilation, thereby making the use of global variables in this

context meaningless.

Note!

Please note that references to global variables in the decoder POU will be

evaluated in response to a rising edge in the Execute input.
