Starting the CAM editor

The cam editor is started from the Resources tab. A window appears, which is divided into

three areas. As long as no cam is created, the window is empty. Otherwise there is a tree

with all cams that are programmed in the left column, and in the top part of the window

the function dependency within the master-slave axis is represented graphically. For the

bottom part of the window three representation modes can be selected. The commands

for them can be found in the Extras menu (see general editor settings): representation of

the first (blue curve, speed) and the second (green curve, acceleration) derivative,

representation of a table with all cam elements (points/lines), or representation of a table

with all cams. The tables can be edited.

5.3

Creating a cam

Select the New cam command from the Insert menu or shortcut menu and carry out the

required settings in the Cam properties dialog box which is opened.

Name of cam
A name for the new cam

Type
A cam contains cam elements as well as tappets; a tappet control unit (tappet table) only

contains tappets.
