5.4.3 Commands in the "Extras" menu
5.4.3.1 Settings
5.4.3.2 Show Complete Cam
If this option is activated (a tick will appear in front of the menu item or the button in the
tool bar will look like it has been pressed), the fifth order polynomials linking the elements
(points, lines, tappets) will also be displayed on the cam. Otherwise only the individual
elements will be visible.
5.4.3.3 Show Bounds
If this option is activated (a tick will appear in front of the menu item or the button in the
tool bar will look like it has been pressed), the cam's bound values (maximum/minimum)
will also be displayed in addition to the cam and its derivatives.
5.4.3.4 Transmission options
This menu item opens a dialog by means of which the transmission ratio of the cam can be
set.
Essentially, there are three compilation modes.
polynomial
During compilation MC_CAM_REF structure variables are created. For each segment, they
contain the description of the fifth order polynomial which describes the cam. Structures
of this type are used as inputs for the MC_CamIn POU. The structure is part of the
SM_DriveBasic.lib library.
This command opens the Cam properties dialog box that was displayed during
the creation of the cam and where the scaling and units can be modified.
