7.5 Recording media

The media bay is located at the top-right of the camcorder and includes one REV PRO media
slot and two CompactFlash slots. Slide the cover switch towards the back of the camcorder to
open the protective cover and to get access to the media slots.

Tip

When you choose to record only to CompactFlash or external storage media, you can disable
the REV PRO drive to save battery power. Go to SYSTEM

in the

viewfinder menu to switch the REV PRO drive on or off. It is recommended to restart the
camcorder after changing this setting.

7.5.1 REV PRO media

Versions

Different types of Grass Valley REV PRO media are available to suit your needs. REV PRO XP
is tuned for high performance and fast ingest, while the REV PRO ER focuses on capacity. The
Infinity DMC 1000/10 is equipped with a REV PRO 35 media drive, whereas the DMC 1000/20
comes with a REV PRO XP/ER drive.
