The Front Panel

The front panel of the Propaq M device includes the display screen, quick access keys, battery
and auxiliary power indicators, and Ready For Use (RFU) indicator. See Figure 2-1. Refer to
Table 2-2 on page 2-2 for information about the controls and indicators.

Speaker

Emits R-wave detection beeps and alarm tones.

USB device connector

For connecting the Propaq monitor to a USB device. For
details, refer to “Storing, Transferring, and Reviewing
Patient Data” on page 15-1.

Battery compartment

Holds a rechargeable lithium ion battery pack.

Auxiliary power connector

For connecting the device to an auxiliary power adapter.

Dock connector

For connecting the device to a docking station.

Control or Indicator

Description

Display screen

Shows settings, physiological waveforms and other information for each
monitored parameter, messages, time, and quick access key labels.

Quick access keys

Seven buttons control different functions of the unit. Labels for the quick
access keys appear on the monitor display to the right of each key.

Auxiliary power LED

Illuminated when the unit is plugged in to an auxiliary power adapter.
