2. Once connected, press Enter several times to display the Login Name prompt.

3. At the Login Name prompt, enter the administrator name you configured using the

HP Remote Assistant Configuration Utility. For more information on configuring
administrator names, see the section, "Configuring Administrator Names," in
Chapter 2.

4. At the password prompt, enter the password you assigned using the HP Remote

Assistant Configuration Utility.

When the server accepts the password (and if no dial-back number was specified),
the HP Remote Assistant Management Program on the board starts up and displays
its Main Menu:

NOTE

Many of the configuration tasks that you can perform with the Configuration
Utility on the server (as discussed in Chapter 2) can also be initiated via the
HP Remote Assistant Management Program that you can run from the
remote console.

Logging In with Dial-Back

If a dial-back number was specified for the administrator alias, the message "Hang up
and prepare for dial-back" appears when the server accepts the password. In this case,
disconnect your modem and place the device in auto-answer mode. (In Terminal Plus,
you perform this operation by using the Phone menu to enable Wait For Call.) The HP
Remote Assistant will call back in about 15 seconds. When call-back occurs, press
Enter to display the Management Program's Main Menu.
