Keyboard Layouts

Through the Configuration Utility (HPRAUTIL), HP Remote Assistant allows
an administrator to select a keyboard layout that matches the server keyboard.
With the proper keyboard layout, HP Remote Assistant is able to correctly
interpret keystrokes sent to the server keyboard. HP Remote Assistant
includes support for France, Italy, Germany, Spain, United Kingdom, and
United States keyboards.

NOTE

Console redirection only accepts the first 128 characters in the ASCII
character set. This means that extended characters (for example, letters with
accent marks) will not be accepted. A diagram of the basic ASCII character
set can be found in any DOS manual.

The graphics below provide layouts for each of the keyboards supported by
HP Remote Assistant. If you are using an unsupported keyboard, you can map
keystrokes by pressing the key on your keyboard that corresponds to the
location of the key on the configured keyboard layout.
