17. Remove the main pressure seal (205).
18. Remove the thrust washer (304) from the end cap
(4) and shaft (2).
19. Remove the O-ring (304.1) from its groove in the end
cap (4) and shaft (2).
20. Remove the outside diameter piston seal (202) from
the piston.
21. Remove the inside diameter piston seal (200).
Inspection
PRIOR TO ASSEMBLY OF ACTUATOR, THESE STEPS MUST BE
CLOSELY FOLLOWED TO ENSURE PROPER OPERATION OF THE
ACTUATOR.
1. Clean all parts in a solvent tank and dry with com-
pressed air prior to inspecting.
2. Carefully inspect all critical areas for any surface fin-
ish abnormalities: Seal grooves, bearing grooves,
thrust surfaces, shaft surface, housing bore and
gear teeth.
SMALL OR MINOR SURFACE SCRATCHES CAN BE CAREFULLY
POLISHED.
