CAN BRIDGE BOX (Only for 72 Volt Battery
Pack)
The CAN bridge box is installed only on the 72 Volt Battery
Pack.
The reason of the CAN Bridge Box, is to link platform CAN
Bus Line with lithium side of the can bus network.
In fact, without the Can Bridge Box, there are too many
messages in the can Network, with consequent higher
possibility of wrong messages; Can Bridge Box solve this
problem.
The Can Bridge Box makes a connexion between the two
Can Bus Lines.
This connexion is not electric, it is only a data and mes-
sages transmission.
NOTE: The Can Bridge Box is fed by the ECM1-2 of the platform,
so if the machine is off the Can Bridge Box cannot work.
On the 48 Volt Battery Pack the Can Bridge box is not nec-
essary.

RELAYS
On the machine there are some relays with different func-
tions.
Attention: The relay used in the Battery Pack has two lines
“87”, so both normally open lines.
If you need to replace them make sure to don’t use relays
with 87 and 87a lines (Normally open and Normally closed
lines).

CAN BUS LINE
BMS, Battery charger and Inverter are connected with the
platform Can Bus Line of the platform. On the 48 Volt Bat-
tery Pack the Can Bus connection is direct, on 72 Volt Bat-
tery Pack there is a Can Bus Line specific for these
components, than this line is linked by the Can Bridge Box
(see chapter 14 Can Bridge Box) to the machine.Regard-
ing the Can Bus line, a lot of information can be found by
the remote control display, in the self diagnosis system.
