3.9 LITHIUM SYSTEM
PRECAUTIOS
To get all the necessary information to mange possible
emergency situations it is suggested to read carefully the
use and maintenance manual of the machine. This book-
let only reminds that:
a. In case of cell failure, do not open the battery
compartment.
b. In case the battery compartment temperature is
higher than the average, open carefully the bat-
tery compartment to air and cool the cells, wait
till the compartment is at room temperature.
c. In case the temperature in the compartment is
too high, do not open the battery compartment:
RISK OF EXPLOSION OR CONTACT WITH HAZ-
ARDOUS SUBSTANCES
d. In case of problems or breakings of the com-
partment or of one cell, before touching the bat-
tery wear appropriate protective equipment in
the hands, feet, eyes and body, afterwards pro-
vide yourself with a class D fire extinguisher.
