– JLG Lift –

6-103

Fourth Group (Cell Resistance "mOhm")

Figure 6-102.

Lowest – at: Lowest resistance of the cells. The number of
the cell is showed on side.

Highest – at: Higher resistance of the cells. The number of
the cell is showed on side.

Average: Average of all the cell resistances.

NOTE: Cells resistance is important to recognize a defective cell

or a bad cell connexion. The value of the resistance can
be very different according with many parameters, how-
ever a warm cell has normally a resistance value of 1 m
Ohm or less. To be sure a cell is warm, it is enough to
move the machine for some minutes, or to leave the bat-
tery pack under charge for some hours.

NOTE: The cell resistance depend on the tight of the cell screws

too. In case one or more cell resistance is too high, it is
necessary to open the battery pack and check the screw
tightening of the involved cells

Fifth Group (Relays)

The relays showed are internally the BMS, so we cannot
manage them.

However their status can be helpful at the BMS supplier in
case of failure.

Figure 6-103.

Charge switch: Charge contactor open/closed.

Discharge Switch: Discharge contactor open/closed.

Pre-charge switch: Pre charge contactor open/closed.

Sixth Group (Code and State)

Figure 6-104.

Emergency Error Code: Emergency code present. See
paragraph 20.3 “BMS fault codes”.

NOTE: Soft Reset means “OK”.

BMS State: State of the BMS. It can be helpful at the BMS
supplier in case of failures.
