Battery charger transforms the current coming from the
local network (110-230 Volt 50-60Hz) to 48 (72) Volt direct
current, necessary to charge the cells.

Every battery charger is different depending on the spe-
cific local network, so it’s not possible to use the charger
for 220 Volt on 120 Volt network and vice versa.

As inverter and BMS, the battery charger is connected to
the can bus line and by the can bus line the charger
receives from the BMS the input of the current required to
charge the cells.

At the beginning of the charge, the BMS asks the maxi-
mum current possible. In the following step of charging,
the current required decreases according with the cells
voltage level.

Both the battery charger for 48 and 72 volts packs, have a
led with a flashing code explaining the state of the charg-
ing process.

The position of the lamp is showed in following pictures.
