Description

NOTE: When you run a data loop-back test,
you can optionally specify a file that contains
a data pattern. If you do not specify a file, the
RAID controller module firmware provides a
default pattern.

patternFile

File path and file name of the file that contains a
data pattern to use as test data. Enclose the path
and file name with quotation marks (" ").

Diagnose RAID Controller Module iSCSI Host Cable

Description

NOTE: This command valid only for the PowerVault MD3800i storage array.

This command runs diagnostic tests on the copper cables between the iSCSI Host interface cards and a
RAID controller module. You can run diagnostics on a selected port or all ports. The ports must be able
to support the cable diagnostics. If the ports do not support cable diagnostics an error is returned

Syntax

diagnose raidControllerModule [(0 | 1)]

iscsiHostPort[(all | (0 | 1))]

Description

raidControllerModule

Specifies the RAID controller module on which you
want to run the cable diagnostic test. Valid RAID
controller module identifier values are 0 and 1. The
identifier value is 0 for the RAID controller module
on the top and 1 for the RAID controller module
on the bottom when viewed from the rear of the
enclosure. Enclose the RAID controller module
identifier in square brackets ([ ]). If a RAID controller
module is not specified, the MD storage
management software returns a syntax error.

iscsiHostPort

Specifies the iSCSI host port on which you want to
run the diagnostic tests. You can either run the
diagnostics on all iSCSI host ports or run it on a
specific iSCSI host. Valid values for the specific
iSCSI host port identifiers are 0 or 1. Enclose the
iSCSI host port identifier in square brackets ([ ]).
