SHOW IP COUNTER

Syntax

show ip counter [port=

ports

|all]

Parameters

port

Specifies the ports whose IP statistics you want to
view. Omitting this parameter displays the statistics
for all the ports. Port numbers are entered in the
following format:

module ID.port number

For instructions, refer to “Port Numbers in

Commands” on page 42.

Description

This command displays Layer 3 counters for the individual ports on a
stack. Figure 42 is an example of the information displayed by this
command.

The lines in the display are:

IPInUcastPkts - Number of IP packets received on a port.

IPOutUcastPkts - Number of IP packets transmitted from a port.

IPInDiscards - Number of IP packets received but discarded due to
resource limitations at the IP level.

IPInHdrErrors - Number of IP packets received with header errors.
