Boom
Note: If replacing the inner boom assembly with a new
inner boom, the hose guide, retract chain, remaining
wear pads and the attachment tilt cylinder should be
removed at this time.
If the inner boom is not to be replaced, proceed to
Step 34.
31. (644E-42 Only) Remove and mark the position of
the top wear pads (8), side wear pads (9), bottom
wear pads (10), shims (11), hose clamp mounts
(12), washers (13) and capscrews (14).
(944E-42 Only) Remove and mark the position of the
top wear pads (15), side wear pads (16), bottom
wear pads (17), shims (18), hose clamp mounts (19),
washers (20) and capscrews (21).
32. At the rear of the inner boom (22), remove one
capscrew (23) and one lockwasher (24) securing the
retract chain (25) to the anchor link (26). Disconnect
the retract chain.
