Replace fuse and
troubleshoot
harness.
Replace boom
sensor switch.
Not OK If OK
Adjust switch to
acquire gap.
Verify power at
boom sensor switch.
Not OK If OK
Stabil-TRAK™ indicator
stays ON with boom
below 40°.

Check boom sensor
connections.
Stabil-TRAK™

Repair connections
as needed.
Check if boom sensor
LED is ON.
If OK
Check boom sensor to
boom gap is
.12" to .19" (3 to 5 mm).
Unplug boom switch
relay and indicator light
should go OFF.
If OK
Troubleshoot
harness for short to
B+ in locked circuit.
Check wires
[S12] (BRN/BLK),
[S12A] (BRN/BLK),
[S12B] (BRN/BLK),
[S12C] (BRN/BLK)
and [S9] (LT BLU).
Replace boom
switch relay.
Not OK If OK

Before troubleshooting any
electrical circuit, ALWAYS begin
by checking the following:
1. Fuses.
2. Battery for proper charge.
3. All connections relating to
circuit are clean and tight.
4. All grounding straps are intact
and securely fastened, refer to
Section 9.1.12, “General
Overview (Vehicle Ground
Strap Locations).”
5. Check dash panel bulbs for
proper function.
