The following describes the selections available in the Automated Reports window for configuring
automatic reports.

Table 30. Automated Reports – Available Selections

Selection Function

Select a Saved Report

Provides a list of all the currently saved report criteria selections.

Permanent
Automated Report

Basic Summary – is a default report in TMA that provides only “Pass,”
“Fail,” or “Out of Service” information (based on check-box selections) for all
telephones in a system.

Check Boxes: These selections provide for choice of what is included in
the Basic Summary report, and for disabling the automatic generation of
this report.

Daily – is checked by default to produce a Basic Summary report on a daily
basis at the time set in the Auto Report Settings block. If unchecked, the report
will not be produced on a daily basis.

Pass – is checked by default to list all telephones with “Pass” criteria. If
unchecked, telephones with “Pass” criteria are omitted from the report.

Fail – is checked by default to list all telephones with “Fail” criteria. If
unchecked, telephones with “Fail” criteria are omitted from the report.

Out of Service – is checked by default to list all telephones with “Out of
Service” tags. If unchecked, telephones with “Out of Service” tags are omitted
from the report.

Selected Automated
Reports

Inactive Phones:

Daily – when checked, the report lists telephones that are not active on a daily
basis at the time designated in the Auto Report Settings.

For other selected reports:

Daily – when checked, the selected report is generated on a daily basis at the
time designated in the Auto Report Settings.

Weekly – when checked, the selected report will be generated on a weekly
basis on the day and at the time designated in the Auto Report Settings.

Auto Report Settings

Report Time – is used to set the time when a report is to be generated.

Weekly Report Day – is used to designate a day of the week when a report is
to be generated, only if the “Weekly” box is checked in Selected Automated
Settings. If the “Daily” box is checked in Selected Automated Settings, the
selection is ignored.

Export Exceptions

to Text File – when checked, the report will be generated and sent to a text
file. Microsoft

®

Notepad is commonly used for viewing the file.

to COM Port – when checked, the report will be generated and output to the
selected serial port.
