SMTP Settings

These settings apply to the login credentials needed to access the outgoing e-mail server and each setting
is described below. The e-mail system can either be a web-based e-mail provider or an internal SMTP
mail server. Please contact you network administrator if needed to obtain the correct SMTP Settings.

Parameter Function

Login Name

The e-mail address that is needed to log into the SMTP server or web-based mail
system.

Login Password

The password associated with the Login Name.

SMTP Server

The server name or address where the login credentials apply.

SMTP Server
Port

The port needed to send the outgoing e-mails that the server or web-based mail
system is expecting to use.

Use
Authentication

Enable this option if the login process requires authentication.

Use SSL or TLS
(port dependent)

Enable this option if the login process requires a secure connection.

Connection
Timeout

The amount of time (in increments of seconds) TMA will wait during establishing a
connection before failing.

E-mail Addresses

Multiple e-mail addresses can be used by entering them in the To field, Cc (carbon copy) field, or the Bcc
(blind carbon copy) field. Each e-mail address must be separated by a semi-colon (;).

Custom E-mail for Critical Faults

The e-mail to be sent for each telephone containing a critical fault can have a custom Subject line and
Message body by using any of the Phone Data Fields. When the e-mail is generated, the Phone Data
Fields will be substituted with the associated data from the phone record.
