Trouble Possible

Solution

When initializing TMA DTMF
Transceivers at start-up, the DTR
indicators do not remain lit.

It is recommended that TMA run on a stand-alone PC with no other
software applications running. Other applications (like remote
desktop applications can interfere with TMA.

Shut down all applications and re-start the PC. Run TMA and its
supporting applications only.

Received an error message that is
not understood.

Try repeating the operation leading to the error. If the error persists,
contact the GAI-Tronics Service Department to report the problem.
Having detailed information on the circumstances which led to the
error and the exact wording of the error message(s) is extremely
helpful in identifying and resolving the problem.

VoIP Alarm Notification and
VoIP User Calls (SYSLOG
messages) are no longer being
received.

If DHCP is turned on for the TMA PC and all the VoIP phones in the
system have SYSLOG or SYSLOG2 IP settings configured to that IP
address, TMA will no longer be able to receive the SYSLOG
messages once the IP address is renewed.

There are a couple of ways to prevent this:

1. Assign a static IP address to the TMA computer for SYSLOG to

use in all of the VoIP telephones.

2. Use the “Computer Name” on the TMA computer for the

SYSLOG to use in all of the VoIP telephones.

By using one of these options, the TMA system will always be able
to receive all of the SYSLOG messages.
