energywise domain

energywise domain

Use the energywise domain global configuration command to enable EnergyWise on the entity, assign
the entity to a domain, and set the password for secure communication among the domain entities. Use
the no form of this command to disable EnergyWise and to remove the EnergyWise configuration.

energywise domain domain-name secret [0 | 7] password [protocol udp port udp-port-number

[interface interface-id | ip ip-address]]

no energywise domain

Syntax Description

Defaults

EnergyWise is disabled, and the entity is not assigned to a domain.

The password is not set.

The udp-port-number is 43440.

domain domain-name

Assign the entity to a domain with the specified domain-name.

You can enter alphanumeric characters and symbols such as #, (, %, !, or
&.

Do not use an asterisk (*) or a blank space between the characters and
symbols.

secret [0 | 7] password

Set the password for secure communication among the entities in the
domain.

(Optional) 0—Use an unencrypted password.

(Optional) 7—Use an hidden password.

If you do not enter 0 or 7, the entity uses the default value of 0.

You can enter alphanumeric characters and symbols such as #, (, %, !, or
&.

Do not use an asterisk (*) or a blank space between the characters and
symbols.

port udp-port-number

(Optional) Specify the UDP port that sends and receives queries.

The range is from 1 to 65000.

interface interface-id

(Optional) Specify the port from which the EnergyWise messages are sent.

ip ip-address

(Optional) Specify the IP address from which the EnergyWise messages are
sent.
