Locate and Remove the HDD Carrier
The HDD carrier is located on the near the front bezel of the CPU, in front of the power
supply. Refer to
“Figure C-4: HDD Carrier Location” on page 144 as needed during this
process.
To remove the HDD carrier:
1. Use a #2 Phillips screwdriver to remove the screws, shown as 1 in “Figure C-4: HDD
Carrier Location” .
2. Pull back on the carrier ejector and release the carrier from the chassis. The carrier
slides slightly towards the rear of the CPU.
3. Carefully lift the carrier out of the chassis, disconnecting the power and SATA data
cables as needed.
