4.2.6.1
SFP Overhead Signals
The SFP overhead signals are routed to the FPGA_base device:
SFP+ I2C control (FPGA I/O)
Loss of signal (FPGA input, also routed to the Framer device)
Transmitter disable (FPGA I/O)
SFP present (FPGA input)
4.2.6.2
ESSI Signals
Both ESSI (per Framer) are routed via the mezzanine connector to the Zone 3 connector in
order to support APS for SONET signals. For details, see
.
On the E1/T1 only variant of the ARTM-831X assembly the same physical lines are partly used
to route the 166.7Hz multi-frame sync clock. For details, see
4.2.7
On Board Resources (IPMI)
IPMI support on ARTM-831X is implemented by using the IPMI building block based on the
AMC Pigeon Point Reference Design. This building block is based on the 8-bit micro-controller
family AVR from Atmel, type ATmega128L.
