9.4.2.1 Example: Setting a relay output
Relay output example
The following example demonstrates the relay output on module 3 being set high by
the MSEvba.xlsm file.
Select the IP address of the workstation from the IP address drop-down menu.
Verify that MSEsetup Asynchronous Port is set to 27300.
Enter the Response Port if required.
The response port only needs to be changed if another application is using the
same port on the selected IP address.
Click «Connect».
The I/O section of the spreadsheet is used to select the module number, relay output
and output value to set.
Enter the number of the I/O module into the Module Num field.
Enter the relay output pin number into the Output Num field.
Enter a value of "1" for the relay output value into the Value field.
Click «Send».
The spreadsheet sends a "Set Output" request to the MSEsetup asynchronous
thread and the relay output is set High (1).
