ProSoft 61850 Configuration Manager can import CID, SCD, or ICD files. Use the
following window to browse for your IED
s’ configuration files. The O
PEN AS READ -
ONLY field shown on the window should not be used, and does not appear in
Windows 7.
After adding the IED configuration file to the IEC 61850 Configuration folder, click
on the + sign to the left of it, to expand it and see the IEDs inside it. A CID file
generally has one IED (but can have more) and a SCD file generally has multiple
IEDs in it, like this:
