cation.) To continue deleting this item, click Yes. (To cancel deleting

The message closes and you are returned to the Item Data form. The
form clears and the item is deleted from the system.

Edit Existing/Incomplete Item Data

A database can contain item data (item# and related information) without
related item details, site, location, or quantity data. Incomplete item data
may be the result of importing item definitions, adding items via the porta-
ble bar code reader, or adding items while performing a Check In or
Receipt. Complete the following steps to add data to the incomplete con-
sumable or both consumable/check out item definitions via the Item Data
form.To add data to incomplete check out item records, please refer to the
next section,

“Adding Check Out Item# Detail Data” on page 150

Warning: When entering data in the application, DO NOT USE special
characters or quotes with the exception of dashes, dots and spaces. Except
for dashes, dots, and spaces, if you use special characters or quotes when
entering data in the application, the database will become corrupted. For
