Purging
Empty
Locations

If your system uses lots and/or expiration dates, the database may build up
a number of locations with 0 (Zero) quantity. This happens because each
lot and expiration date creates a unique record in the Inventory by Location
table. When new lots and dates come into the system, old lot and date
information holds a position in the Inventory by Location table.

Locations in the database with a zero quantity may be deleted to clean up
the database. To purge empty locations, please refer to the steps below.

1.

Select Empty Locations from the purge options. The following mes-
sage appears, asking you to confirm that you want to delete all loca-
tions with zero (0) inventory.

2.

To continue purging this information, select the Yes button. (Selecting
No will cancel the purge.) A message appears telling you that the purge
was successful and the information has been deleted.
