Communications
in a DriveTools32
Application
Before a DriveTools32 application can communicate with a drive, you must
configure the application. To do so, you need to:
1.
Start the DriveTools32 application.
2.
In the Options menu, select Communication Setup. The Communication
Setup dialog box appears.
3.
Click the Serial tab.
4.
Under Connect Type, select RS-232/RS-485 SCANport Point-to-Point.
5.
In the Enter INTERCHANGE Port Mapping # field, type the number of
the KT:0 port used by the DF1 driver in the RSLinx Configure Client
Applications dialog box.
Important: To view the KT Port number used by the DF1 driver, select
Configure Client Applications in the RSLinx Communications menu.
6.
In the Enter Serial Communication Port field, type the PC serial
communications port number that is being used. You must use the same
communications port for which RSLinx is configured.
7.
In the Enter The Port Baud Rate field, type the baud rate that your
communications module and port are using.
