About DeviceNet
Communications DeviceNet is an open, global, industry-standard communications network
designed to provide an interface through a single cable from a programmable
controller to smart devices such as drives. With DeviceNet direct
communications, you access a drive over a DeviceNet network. Figure 9.1
shows an example:
