DriveTools32 and
Database Files

DriveTools32 uses a unique database file for each drive so that you can
configure each drive individually. DriveTools32 ships with many of the database
files that it will need (refer to Appendix A, Products Supported by
DriveTools32
).

If a drive does not have a database file in DriveTools32, you will be prompted to
download a database file when you try to connect to it in a DriveTools32
application.

Important: By default, DriveTools32 downloads database files into its program
folder. You can change the folder to which database files are downloaded by
selecting Set Data Base Path in the DriveTools32 application’s Options menu.
You must specify a path and then select Use Alternate Data Base Directory.

1.

If the Data Base Read Error dialog box appears, click Yes. DriveTools32
uploads a database file. The following prompt appears to inform you that
the download is complete.

2.

Click OK.
