NOTE: There are four versions of this valve.
Disassembly and assembly procedures may
IMPORTANT: Spools and body are matched and
must be replaced as a unit. Spools
must be installed into the same
bores from which they were
removed for proper operation of
Always use new O-rings. Damaged
or used parts will leak.
NOTE: Note location and position of fittings and
linkages to aid in assembly.
Lubricate all O-rings with petroleum jelly
Inspect all parts for wear or damage. Replace as
• Apply clean John Deere Low Viscosity HY-GARD
oil on all internal parts during assembly.
• Apply MPG-2
Multi-Purpose Polymer Grease on
springs (P and Y) and inside of caps (S and U).
• Tighten lock nut (E), if equipped, and caps (S and
U) to 31 N·m (23 lb-ft).
