Radar Configuration Options

Radar Tab

To edit your radar settings, the radar you wish to interface with must be installed,
powered on and connected to the IR2-BB. The IR2-BB must be connected to your
computer.
You also must have already run the Radar Setup Wizard to detect IR2-BB output.
Once your IR2-BB connection is configured, the Settings | Options | Radar tab will
provide you with settings options for each radar.

TIP:

Make sure the IR2-BB is highlighted in the Choose radar to edit

settings for: field.

Radar Opacity - Select the opacity or transparency of objects detected by your
radar. This setting impacts how targets are displayed on the charts.
Radar Options and Settings include:

Auto Range Links With - Auto Range keeps the zoom level in the Radar and
Chart window panes synchronized to the same resolution. As you zoom in or out
on one of the display windows, the other matches the changes in range. Select
Chart with Radar Overlay or All Charts.

Chart w/ Radar Overlay Only: Changes the zoom or scale only of a Chart
window pane that has the radar overlay turned on, matching the radar range.
All Chart Windows: Keeps Chart window panes zoomed at the same range
level as the radar, even if Radar Overlay is turned off.

Keep Range Setting - When set to Yes, this feature remembers the Manual
tuning settings for Gain, Sea Clutter, etc. When you adjust the range, the radar
will revert to your last used tuning settings No resumes defaults per session.
Suppress Echoes Around Boat (radius) - Resolves what is commonly referred
to as Main Bang Suppression. This feature turns off all radar echoes around the
boat within a certain radius of pixels. Select a range to dampen radar echoes
around your boat (Automatic, 10, 20, 30, 40, or 50 yds), or No to disable.

WARNING:

Use caution with this feature, as it could remove real radar echoes

that could be collision threats.

Show Ghost Cursor - Shows a ghosted image of the mouse cursor in every
Chart window pane. Typically this is used when the Radar and Chart are not
aligned in the same rotation angle. Using a Ghost Cursor makes identifying
targets simpler. Yes shows cursor location on inactive view. No turns off.
Degree Values on Radar Rings - Turns on or off the degree values from the
radar range rings. Yes shows degree numeric values on your radar ring display.
Image Clipping - Some radars return the radar image in a square shape. This
setting allows you to keep the radar image square or clip the corners to see a
more standard circular radar image. Select Circle or Square to display radar
output (square setting provides somewhat broader radar scope).
Radar Resolution: This field shows your radar resolution setting. Higher
resolution provides an improved radar image, but consumes more memory.
