Adding Waypoints
To add a new waypoint to the beginning of a route, you must first use the Reverse
command from the Route Context Menu to reorder the waypoints, and then append
to the last waypoint.
Right-click on any segment of the route between two waypoints - be sure to
right-click on the route, not the waypoint.
Choose Reverse from the Route Context Menu. Waypoint numbers will reverse
order.
Choose Append Waypoint from the Route Context Menu.
The cursor will change into the Route tool.
As you move the cursor to the next position, a line is drawn from the previous
waypoint to the cursor, and range / bearing text is displayed next to the cursor.
Left-click the mouse button on the next waypoint position.
Continue clicking until the route is completed.
Double-click or right-click on the last waypoint location or press
L to end the
Route.
When done, reverse the route again to restore it to its original order.
Inserting Waypoints
There are two ways to use the Insert Waypoint command to add new waypoints to
the middle of a route.
Right-click on the segment of the route between two waypoints where you want
to insert a new waypoint.
Choose Insert Waypoint from the Route Context Menu. A new waypoint will
appear on the route line at the point where you clicked.
Drag and drop the new waypoint into the desired position.
Or
Left-click on any segment of a route.
Choose Insert Waypoint from the Route Context Menu.
The mouse cursor will change to the Add Waypoint cursor. Left-click on the point
of the route where you want to insert the waypoint. You can continue to add
waypoints anywhere on the route. Each new waypoint will cause the entire series
of waypoints to renumber.
Drag and drop the new waypoint(s) into the desired position.
