Data

The System Menu | Data option is where you access specific Chart, Boat and Data
utilities and controls.

Data Manager

The Data Manager is a utility that allows you to manipulate and view specific
information, including User-created navigation objects (Nav Objects), Charts
available for use, and your Chart Permits and software version information. See
Chapter 10 - Data Manager for a complete description of this utility.

Chart Manager

The Workboat Navigator installation adds a tool called Chart Manager to your
program files (Start | Programs). This tool is used to install Professional+ Charts,
check for chart and data updates via the internet, and view recent changes.

Archive Boat History

This button opens a browser window where you can select where to place your
archive voyage data files. Once you select a folder to place your archival data,
archiving is performed automatically. A status message will tell you when the
archive is complete. Files are saved with a *.VOYAGEDATA file extension.

Screen Intensity

The System Menu | Screen Intensity option allows you to operate Jeppesen
Workboat Navigator in various light conditions.

NOTE:

The best way to control screen intensity is to use your onboard monitor

controls. Screen Intensity settings are designed for operating conditions that
exceed the monitor controls ability to correct low and dim lighting concerns.

NOTE:

If you are experiencing issues with your cursor when using Night Node,

change your Windows cursor setting to the default selection.

There are two screen intensity modes: Day and Night. Day uses a light color
palette and Night uses a dark-toned palette. Each mode can be adjusted from full
brightness to optimum low-light levels using the +/- slider bar for either setting.
Use the Day Mode or Night Mode radio button to select which screen intensity
mode to use, then make incremental adjustments to control how dim or bright you
wish to have that setting.

WARNING:

Using Day Mode and Night Mode affects all screens on your

desktop, not just Jeppesen Workboat Navigator, so be careful when sliding
the bar to a dark setting in Night mode. If you slide it to the darkest setting,
your Desktop may become completely black and navigating the system will
become difficult if not impossible.

The

FN

Hot Key turns on Night mode viewing.

FD

reverts to Day mode

viewing.

F,

(the comma key) raises screen intensity in either mode, and

F.

(the period key) lowers screen intensity.

NOTE:

If you are experiencing issues with your cursor when using Night Node,

change your Windows cursor setting to the default selection.
