displayed on this panel, even if it no longer meets River AIS criteria, replacing one
of the calculated targets. If a target comes within a .5 miles radius of your boat, it
will replace one of the River AIS targets being calculated. It is possible to have 10
targets displayed in this panel and none of them being calculated at one time, so
use this panel cautiously. When this Targets - River AIS panel is open, the [Goto
Point
] and the [Goto Target] buttons appear. Fields in this panel include:

Name - This is based on the AIS reporting. If a target’s name is not available, the
target’s MMSI number will be shown.
SOG - The speed over ground based on the AIS reporting.
Position - The river abbreviation and the river mile mark of the target.
EPP - The passing point’s river abbreviation and mile mark of the target.
DTP - The distance to the passing point.
TTP - The time to the passing point.
Plan - This is the selected passing plan to use for this target. If no passing plan
is selected, a question mark (?) appears. Any target can have a passing plan.
Click Here to see how to set up a passing plan.

Passing Plan

The passing plan is the passing option you assign for a selected target. This gives
you the ability to indicate on what side you want to pass a target: port or starboard.
Options include 1 and 2. The question mark (?) represents that no plan is selected.
To set a passing plan

Select the target on the chart, or select it in the Targets - River AIS panel and
click [Goto Target].
Right-click and select Passing Plan from the context menu or click the target and
select Context Menu | Passing Plan.
Select a passing plan. Options include No Plan ?, Port - 1, and Starboard - 2.

Goto Pass Point

Click this button to move to the point that Workboat Navigator calculates as the
point of intersection, or the point at which Workboat Navigator estimates that you
and the target will cross paths. Workboat Navigator uses a combination of your
speed and the selected target’s speed to find the intersection point in addition to
the distance between you and the target. The Goto Pass Point relates only to the
recommended route.
