Setup specifications for detected targets on the Targets Tab. Options and a brief
description are listed below.

ARPA Targets Based On Magnetic. Choices for this option depend on the
type of heading sensor connected to your radar. For Magnetic heading sensors,
select Yes. For True North sensors, select No.
Display targets on radar display. Yes displays targets, No turns off target display.

Display Predictors. This option will display a course predictor line in minutes for all
detected targets. Adjust the number of minutes. Check-mark turns on.
Display Wakes. Similar to a predictor line, the Display Wakes option allows you to
see a historical track of where the target has been. Adjust the number of minutes.
Check-mark turns on.
AIS/ARPA Target Timeouts. AIS and ARPA targets normally transmit reports every
few seconds. Select how long an AIS or ARPA target will remain on your screen
between reports. If the software does not receive a report during this set amount of
time, it will be removed from the display.
Target Threat Settings. Use this setup box to determine if you wish to detect
potential threats based on information received from ARPA targets. If a target meets
criteria for this setting, the target will render in a red color and a warning message
will be shown.

Detect Threats. Check this box to use the available settings in the Target Threat
Settings window.
Audible Alarm When Threat Detected. Check this box to receive an audible
alarm when CPA or TCPA meet safety zone criteria.
Closest Point of Approach (CPA) - Used to determine the safety zone area
around your boat - default is 0.58 statute miles. If a target enters into the area
specified by this setting, it is considered a threat.
Time until Closest Point of Approach (TCPA) - Sets a threshold amount of time
until the Closest Point of Approach. Default setting is 300 seconds (5 minutes).

Target Label Settings. This window gives you the ability to tailor the contents of
the targets labels on the chart screen. You can choose to contain any or all of the
following: Target Name, Speed Over Ground (SOG), Closest Point of Approach
(CPA), Time to Closes Point of Approach (TCPA), Time To Passing point (TTP), and
Passing Plan (Plan). You can also determine the size of the font by selecting it in
the Label Font Size drop-down menu.
AIS Target Settings. Use this window to set up range and speed over ground
filtering for AIS targets. The settings only become applicable when you select the
Filter check box in the All Targets sub panel.

Show AIS Targets. Select this check box to display AIS Targets on the chart.
Filter AIS Targets beyond the range of: Type a value and targets inside that
range will appear on the chart if the Filter check box on the All Targets sub panel
is selected.
Filter AIS Targets when SOG less than: Select this check box if you want to
exclude targets that meet your speed criteria. When you select this check box,
the edit field becomes active and you can enter the value you want to use as
the cutoff. Targets going slower than that speed are the ones that will be filtered.
This is limited to a specific range of .1 to 20 miles. Only targets inside that range
will appear on the chart when you select the Filter check box on the All Targets
sub panel.
