Pane
7 - SysInfo Window Pane
The SysInfo window pane is where you manage Targets, Man Overboard tracking,
Chart and Object properties and appearance, Status Messages, and Data Playback.
Use the arrow buttons to navigate between panels, or the
7 Hot Key to cycle
through those configurations, whenever the SysInfo window pane is active.
The Properties panel provides information about whatever object in the Chart
window pane has focus (boat, chart, mark, etc.)
TIP:
H7 will reverse cycle through SysInfo panel settings.
MOB - Man Overboard Panel
The MOB panel is used to track the location of up to 10 incident-based, emergency
Man Overboard marks. These marks are created directly beneath the boat on the
Chart window pane whenever the MOB button is clicked, or when there is input
from a device that transmits MOB NMEA sentences. The MOB SysInfo panel is
opened and receives focus every time a MOB mark is created.
Naming convention for MOB Marks are "Man Overboard 1" "Man Overboard 2", etc.
The active MOB mark is displayed in the panel header, as shown in Figure 7.1.
The MOB panel has four buttons on the left-hand side:
Next MOB. This button progresses the panel through each active MOB in the
system.
Clear MOB. This button clears the displayed MOB from the system.
Goto MOB. This button centers the Chart window pane on the currently
displayed MOB. If a Chart window pane is not available, the system will revert to
the standard three panel display configuration.
Activate. Adds an MOB mark to the Chart window pane at the transmitted boat
location. Up to 10 MOBs may be active at any given time.
The MOB panel also displays data related to each MOB instance. Available
information includes:
Location. The precise Lat/Lon of the MOB.
Boat to MOB. The range and bearing from the boat to the MOB location.
Cursor to MOB. The range and bearing of the cursor to the MOB.
Activated At. The exact date and time the MOB button was clicked.
Elapsed Time. The amount of time that has passed since the MOB was
activated (dd:hh:mm). If no MOBs are currently active, the MOB panel is empty
and the Next MOB, Clear MOB and Goto MOB buttons are disabled.
