Using

Nav

Objects

Nav Objects

Most Nav Objects are created and manipulated in a similar way, except where
noted in the following directions.

To Place a Nav Object on the Chart

Click Context Menu | Nav Objects | Add... object type; or right-click on the
chart and select Context Menu | Nav Objects | Add.. object type. To create a
Mark, you may also click the GPS Mark button in the Workboat Navigator Main
Toolbar or Context Menu | Nav Objects | GPS Mark.
Click on the chart at the location where you would like to place the object.
The object will appear where you clicked your mouse. Use the Properties panel
of the SysInfo window pane or Data Manager to change specific features of the
object, such as icon, name, color, etc.

NOTE:

When you create a Route, the above steps create the first waypoint

in the Route and place your mouse in “Waypoint Creation” mode. Continue
clicking your mouse on the chart to create additional waypoints. Double-click
or right- click on the last waypoint location or press

L

to end the Route.

To Move a Nav Object

Occasionally an object you are trying to move might be locked. You can unlock the
object from the Properties panel of the SysInfo window pane or in Data Manager
before you move it.

Click and hold down the left mouse button to move the object.
Drag and drop the object to a new location, or right-click on the object and
choose Properties to edit the Lat/Lon of the object.

To Delete a Nav Object

Occasionally an object you are trying to delete might be locked. You can unlock the
object from the Properties panel of the SysInfo window pane or in Data Manager
before you delete it.
In both examples, you will be asked to confirm the delete request.
Option 1

Right-click on the object you want to delete.
Select Delete from the object Context Menu.

Click on the object you want to delete.

To Hide a Nav Object

You may want to hide an object that is unrelated to your current route.
Option 1

Click on the object you want to hide.
Open the SysInfo window pane, Properties panel for that object, or locate the
object in the Data Manager.
