Log All Input and Log All Output: Used for debugging and problem solving.
Sometimes a Jeppesen Marine product support provider will ask you to record
input or output for diagnostic purposes. Default Log location is \\Program Files\
Jeppesen Marine\WorkboatNavigator. When the application is restarted, logging
is automatically disabled to ensure no Com port data is accidentally recorded.
Configure All Output Ports: Opens the Configure Output Settings dialog box.

NOTE:

The changes you make in the Configure Output Settings window

become active after you click the OK or Apply buttons in the Options
window.

View Data: Shows data application is receiving in real time.

Port Priorities Tab

WARNING:

Do not change the Ports Priorities settings unless you have a solid

understanding of your device configuration and prior experience configuring them.

Port Priorities are used to resolve conflicts occurring when two or more devices send
the same information. For example, different position devices (GPS, heading sensor,
etc.) may send conflicting Lat/Lon values. Unless you prioritize these inputs, the boat
icon could change position on the chart with each position sentence received.
Data from the highest-prioritized device is used first. If the primary device stops
sending position information (for a user-specified period of time), the software
automatically switches to the next prioritized device.
How to Log Input and Output
Sometimes it may be necessary to log a large amount of data so that it can be
manually analyzed for problems.

Click on System Menu | Tools/Settings | Options | Ports: Configure.
Place a check-mark in the Log All Input check box or the Log All Output check
box.

Data is saved in a file named com

x

-in.log (where

x

is a number corresponding

to the COM port used), located in C:\Program Files\Jeppesen Marine\
WorkBoatNavigator
.
