Units Tab
Use the Units Tab to change the way units of measurement for Speed (Knots, MPH,
or km/h), Distance (Nautical Miles, Statute Miles, or Kilometers), Depth (Fathoms,
Feet, or Meters) and Lat/Lon Format (ddd*mm’ss.sss”D, ddd*mm.mmm’D, or ddd.
ddddd*D) are calculated and displayed in the software.
NOTE:
If you select statute miles as the unit of distance, Workboat Navigator
will display some chart objects, such as range values for lights, in yards
because statue miles are not supported by that particular object data source.
Misc. Tab
The Misc. Tab of the Options window is where you configure usage settings.
Options and brief description are listed below. For most of these settings, Yes
means "activate" and No means "turn off". Occasionally, there may be an alternate
option such as High, Medium and Low.
Confirm Deleting Objects. Requests confirmation of each deletion.
Display Screen Tips on Charts. Turns on mouse hover Tool Tips that will
appear for most Nav Objects, Past Tracks, Past Track Waypoints, Targets, Tides
and Currents information, and Charts objects.
Confirm Hiding Object. Enables a prompt before hiding an object.
Show Distance Across Instead of Scale. Shows actual distance across the
Chart window pane rather than the relative scale.
Enable Warning Indicator Flashing. Indicates whether or not the Warning
Indicators will flash when an important event happens.
Scaling User Nav Objects. Use this option to scale the user-created objects
with the chart, or to always draw them at full size.
Always Lock New Nav Objects. Creates Marks "locked" in place if enabled.
Compass Type. Choose between a standard 4-point Compass or a Compass
Rose to display on the Chart window pane.
EBL Display Type. Select True or Relative for the type of EBL to display on the
chart.
Show Compass. Displays the compass on the chart. The default is Yes.
Show Chart Outlines. Displays the chart outlines. The default is Yes.
Show Overzoom. Displays the overzoom lines on the chart. The default is Yes.
Default Mark Icon. Selct the icon you want to use as the default when creating
marks on the chart.
Attach Current Stations. Use to specify the maximum distance to auto-attach
current stations to a route. The default is 10 nautical miles.
Waypoint Arrival and XTE Alarm Settings. Use to set the default waypoint
arrival radius (the default is 100 feet) and the cross-track error value for all active
waypoints,
Set Chart Scroll Speed. Use to specify how quickly the chart scrolls. •
