14 - Tides and Currents

The Tides & Currents ToolBar

Tides and Currents has many advanced features that can be accessed through the
ToolBar. Those features are explained and briefly described below.

NOTE:

By default, the ToolBar uses a subset of all the buttons available to fit

on a standard VGA display.

Tide. Opens a new tide window and prompts you for a new location. Several tide
and current windows might be open at once for quick reference.
Current. Opens a new current window and prompts you for a new location.
Several tide and current windows might be open at once for quick reference.
Groups. Provides the ability to create customized folder(s) of tide or current
stations, giving you the option to open all graphs in a Group at once.
Print. Opens the Print Options dialog, which is used to print a report of all tidal
and current predictions.
Quick Print. Prints the tidal or current station information displayed in the active
window.
Previous month: Change the prediction date to one month before the present
date.
Previous day: Change the prediction date to one day before the present day.
Set Date: Manually input the date for which that you want tide or current
predictions.
Next day: Change the prediction date to one day after the present day.
Next month: Change the prediction date to one month after the present date.
Click Config to open the Configuration Options window and perform the
following functions:

Organize the layout and general setup options for the Tides & Currents
program.
Determine which of the available ToolBars to display and how they should
appear
Set up your Keyboard Shortcuts (Hot Keys).
Set up which type of Units are used in Tides & Currents windows.
Establish Time format (12 or 24 hour clock).
Establish Daylight Savings settings.
Establish graphic setup.
Establish color setup.
Establish startup display information.

Help. Opens the program Help file.
Nearest. Allows you to search for the nearest tide or current stations by latitude
and longitude coordinates.
Event. Provides the ability to search for a tide or current station based on
specific events such as specific heights or speeds, time of slack or changes,
amount of swings, etc.
Export. Select certain data from the active tide or current window and export it
to the clipboard, to a file, or to a result table.
Real Time. Customize your settings to show minute-by-minute tide and current
changes for selected locations. After you set up the real time window, display
it over the top of your other Windows programs (electronic charting, word
processor, spreadsheet, etc.).
Electronic Chart Display: Launches Workboat Navigator (if closed).
