Target Detail
This sub-panel displays more system information for the selected target, such as
COG, SOG, HDG, etc.

Messages
This field displays any messages received by your AIS device, and allows you
to send messages to a selected target or to all targets using the Send Message
function. You can use this field to send safety alerts and short communications
between yourself and any or all boats on your Target List. To send a message:
From the SysInfo window pane, Targets panel, click Messages.
From the To drop-down list select a Target to send a message to, or select All to
transmit a general message.
Type your message in the message field; then click Send to transmit the
message through your AIS device.
