Radar
Initial radar image video reference and threshold settings should be:
Threshold=180; Reference=235.
Click OK.
About Radar
This button opens a Radar Properties window which displays information about your
IR2-BB, Serial Number, Software version, etc.
Options
The following are available options to change how the radar displays on-screen.
Guard Zone. This option provides you the ability to create a customized guard
zone. This zone acts as a shield to the boat. If the radar receives radar returns
inside the guard zone, you will be notified with an alarm. Once a guard zone is
created, you can click on any of the outer edges to change the size and shape
of the guard zone in that direction. Click in the center to move the entire guard
zone around the boat. To improve the function of the guard zone, make sure
your radar is properly adjusted to see targets inside the guard zone.
Clip Window. The radar image can be made to fit the Radar window pane, or be
maximized so that the radar transmission takes up more of the overall window
space. Clip Window maximizes displayed Radar transmission.
Expand Targets. This option, when selected, enlarges the displayed targets on-
screen for easier visualization.
Orientation
The following options change the orientation of the radar to the boat.
North Up. Orients the radar to always display North at the top of the screen.
Head Up. This orientation rotates the radar to always display according to your
heading, boat icon pointing up.
Leg Up. This option rotates the Radar to the intended course between the most
recent Waypoint and next Waypoint in your active route. Leg Up is useful when
your ship is yawing excessively. This option only works when you have a current
activated route in a Chart window pane.
